Teaching Kids to Make Healthy Choices

Dr. David Katz teaches an exciting nutrition education program to elementary school children. From the way we used to harvest food to reading lables. The class is done in a fun way with animations and magic tricks. The kids are engaged in a game that teaches them which foods are good for you and which are not. They learn the 5 clues to spot innatural ingredients. Fruits, vegetables and grains are highlighted as well as the messages:

  • Eat better by making better choices.
  • Healthy people have more fun.
  • What we eat really matters.
  • Food can be good and good for you.

I am preparing classes myself on the same subject and must admit that I am tempted to do just the same. I’ve noticed that it is written by the actor and it is also well versed, timed, and “dialoged ” with kids. It is also impressive in terms of visuals and acting… Great points are passed to kids in such fun and interactive manner. I am inspired. Thank you
