What Does it Mean??! (To quote the Double Rainbow Guy)
I’ve been trying to make sense of the multiple synchronicities which are constantly presenting themselves lately, but all I can ever decide is that little things are there at the right time to either just remind me that something is there trying to cheer me up and guide me on my path. Sometimes I can’t make heads or tails of it, but it’s just undeniable that the timing is hilariously, and sometimes beautifully uncanny. I’m being vague and I can’t explain it all, but suffice it to say: I don’t believe in the generally accepted version of God, but I believe in something. Being such a skeptic, I can agree with the concept:
Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it. – Andre Gide
Even though I constantly feel I’m still searching, I still strangely feel on my path. Even though doors are slamming in my face, I know they are the wrong doors and I just need to keep knocking.
After being laid off last year from two amazing ongoing contract jobs within a couple months of each other, and watching my dad lose his job (no warning, no severance) as the company for which he worked for over 25 years shocked everyone by declaring bankruptcy, I’m no stranger to the hardships of this economy. It’s hard to keep the faith and press on, believing that everything will be ok. It’s even harder to keep shooting for the stars. However, when disheartened by a interview-turned-rejection or a sudden lay-off, remind yourself that your dreams are worthwhile, and your abilities are truly unique and some company, somewhere will need them and appreciate them. Also ask yourself if you are in a place where starting your own business, one that can be fueled by your passion, is a possibility. If it is, go for it- you will surely Crush It.
Keeping The Faith
For everyone out there hoping and praying and struggling to get where they want to be in life, I want you to know that we are all in this together, and we have to support each other and continue to believe that great things can happen. Even though the little signs are there, they never seem to tell me which way to turn, only that everything will be ok no matter what. Frustrating, sure. But comforting nonetheless.

Coincidentally, I just happened upon (thanks to design is mine) these undeniably perfect little signs you can actually buy and hang in your space that will remind you each and every day to keep your chin up and believe in yourself and in the “cosmic muffin” as my awesome dad refers to the universe. You can see where I get my cheeky skepticism, but seriously I am so thankful to my parents for always encouraging me to think for myself and remember that no matter how bad things seem to get, they could always be worse; as long as you have food to eat and a roof over your head, times are good compared to much of the world. They’ve always taught me to look at the world as my oyster, and that if I work hard I can be anything I want to be. Now it’s just time to (hopefully) find the next undeniable trail marker and forge ahead fearlessly. When in doubt, “keep calm and carry on!”
